Admissions to Graduate Programs

Admission to a Ph.D. program at the University of Pittsburgh is controlled by the individual programs and not by academic departments (like MMG). If you would like to apply to one of our Ph.D. programs, please contact those programs directly.

Listed below are the Ph.D. programs at the University of Pittsburgh that are the academic homes to graduate students in the MMG department.

The Interdisciplinary Biomedical Graduate Program is the largest graduate program for Ph.D. students at the School of Medicine. Students enter the IBGP for their first year of study and then transfer to one of 6 specialized programs at the beginning of their second year.       In addition to the IBGP, other programs offer the Ph.D. degree at the University of Pittsburgh.
