Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I knew that coming to the University of Pittsburgh would allow me to work with faculty who are at the top of their fields. Additionally, Pitt’s strong reputation and funding track record appealed to me. Combining these factors with the opportunity to live in and experience a different and unique city and part of the country enabled me to make my decision to study at the University of Pittsburgh for my graduate education.

Following her graduation, Katie accepeted a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago in the lab of Dr. Eugene Chang.
