Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I chose the University of Pittsburgh because of its growing appreciation for evolutionary biology research and its application in medicine, as evidenced by its formation of the Center for Evolutionary Biology and Medicine (CEBaM). There are also many research labs that work with bacteria and/or phages with experts who are enthusiastic about mentoring students.
