Jason Heming, PhD
Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?
I was attracted by the Interdisciplinary program because at the time I was choosing a graduate school I had a general interest in virology and microbiology but nothing more specific. It allowed me to gain a better understanding of my interests without having to commit too early to a specific program.
Following his graduation, Jason accepted a position for a time as a Postdoctoral Associate in the lab of his mentor, Dr. Fred Homa.
