Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I was interested in building on my existing expertise in cellular immunology and animal models by training in a research environment with a strong translational and mechanistic focus. The Flynn and Scanga labs offered an ideal match for my goal because of their well-established expertise in tuberculosis, Mtb/SIV coinfection, nonhuman primate models, and host immune responses. For this reason, I chose the University of Pittsburgh as the best institution to advance my research training and professional development.
